These are a few of the paintings done in my first 2 years in Toronto. They are images that take a lot from the hard edge concepts of the time with my added interest in runic symbols. Runes are early European proto-alphabets before the adoption of the Latin alphabet. Their appeal is that they have a more linear graphic look as visual icons.
